Subject: Use Permit Application No. 2003 -36 (Josh Slocum's)
Dear Ms. Temple
On behalf of Random Interactive, Inc., this letter is to respectfully request that the
above cited use permit application be continued to the second City Council
meeting in August. There are two specific reasons we are seeking a
continuance to August 24, 2004.
First, based upon the comments related to traffic and access issues at the City
Council meeting on June 22, 2004, we would like to retain a professional traffic
engineer to suggest ways in which those issues could be mitigated. We
anticipate that such a review may take several weeks and we would like the City
staff to review the results once the study is completed.
Second, we have yet to review the document that the Newport Beach Police
presented at the hearing. We are currently coordinating with them to establish a
time when we may examine the document. They have been cooperative In our
request to review the material.
We deeply appreciate your willingness to accommodate us. We also look
forward to working with you and your staff in the coming weeks on this matter.
I can be reached at (949) 487 -0311 or (714) 329 -3814 should you require further
information.
Sincefely,
W
