DANIEL C. MARCHEANO
THE ARCHES RESTAURANT
Daniel C. Marcheano owned and operated the highly successful
catering firm, Affairs Unlimited for the ten years before he purchased
The Arches Restaurant in 1982. Affairs Unlimited performed mostly
large scale catering activities all over Orange County during the
1970s.
The Arches underwent a major overhaul when Dan took over and has
been one of the most popular dinner houses in Newport Beach ever
since.
Dan has been heavily involved in local politics over the past twenty
years. He is a board member of the Newport Beach Conference and
Visitors Bureau and has held that position for the past ten years. He
has also served the Newport Harbor Chamber of Commerce on their
Board of Directors.
Dan was instrumental in the creation and development of the
Newport Beach Restaurant Association and served as its first
president, a position which he holds again currently.
Dan is very community oriented, donating time, energy and dollars to
just about every Newport Beach institution available, Public Schools,
Police and Fire Departments and Parks and Recreation.
Dan is currently engrossed along with Mayor Steve Bromberg in
supporting our troops in Iraq and especially the Marine Battalion that
the city has adopted, the 1/1.
