RE: Joint Pier Ownership of 218 & 220 Grand Canal
Dear Richard,
As we discussed on the phone today, the pier that lies in front of 218 and 220 Grand
Canal belongs to those two upland property owners only. See the definition ofjoint
ownership as per the City of Newport Beach Harbor Permit Policies:
"No permits will be granted to persons other than the owners or long-
term lessee of the abutting upland properties."
If the property is jointly owned by multiple parties, it is up to those parties to work out an
arrangement as to the use of that pier. This would not be a concern of the City.
