Sirs:
Regarding a pier permit transfer for the above mentioned property,
the structure was re -inspected on January 17, 1997, at which time
it was determined that it conforms to City standards.
Once we have the Transfer Application card, with both the buyer and
seller signature, and the $300 Transfee Fee, the permit will be
transferred.

Re: Harbor Permit #1011-005 for the property at
5 Balboa Coves, Escrow #30492-T
Dear Sirs:
The City of Newport Beach Marine Department has received a request to transfer
the above Harbor Permit. The facility was inspected by a representative of the
Newport Beach Marine Division on January 6,1997.
We cannot transfer the pier permit until the following has/have been corrected
and WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE CORRECTION:
1. A City approved anti -syphon devise is required at the water connection for
the water supply line serving that pier and float. A sketch showing the approved
type of device and its installation is enclosed. This requirement is in accordance
with Title 17 of the California Administrative Code. It is also required that this
device be tested annually.
2. Wooden cleats on deck must be replaced.
The Newport Beach City Council Harbor Permit Policies state:
10.1). "At the time of transfer, all harbor structures shall be inspected for
compliance with the City's minimum plumbing, electrical and structural
requirements, and the conditions of the existing permit. All structural
deficiencies must be corrected prior to transfer of the permit."

Dear Mr. Jehl:
Regarding my conversation with your wife this morning regarding
your Pier Permit #1011-5. 1 double checked our records and found
the permit registered to Mimi Carpenter, as stated in our letter
dated February 10, 1977.
As stated in the prior letter, a transfer form must be completed
and forwarded to this office along with the $150 fee as required
by City Ordinance 17.24.030.
The required form is enclosed and we have completed the form
except the needed signatures. Please sign and forward with your
check to this office within thirty (30) days.
Also of concern to your wife was the annual permit fee of $10.00
which is due at this time. This payment will not be deliquent if
paid by April 1, 1977.

The annual pier administration billing was returned to our
office. Upon checking with the City's Finance Department, the
above property is listed to you. If you have purchased the
property, we will need a harbor permit transfer application and
corresponding $150.00 fee as required by City ordinance
At your earliest convenience, please advise this office if you
have acquired this property so that the.necessary transfer can
be accomplished.
