Dear Mariners Escrow,
The dock was inspected by the Harbor Resources Division of the City of Newport
Beach at the property mentioned above. We cannot transfer the pier permit until
the following deficiencies have been corrected and the property has been re-
inspected:
1. A GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter) is required on the electrical line to the plug-in
outlet on the dock.
The Newport Beach City Municipal Code 17.60.030 states:
CA. Prior to the transfer of an annual pier permit, all harbor structures
shall be inspected for compliance with the City's minimum plumbing,
electrical and structural requirements, and the conditions of the existing
permit. All structural deficiencies must be corrected prior to the transfer of
the permit. A fee will be charged for this inspection,'established by
Resolution of the City Council.
Please call me at 949-644-3044 to request a reinspection once these issues
have been remedied. Once the property has passed reinspection and the
application is signed by all parties, the dock will be transferred.

Sirs:
The City of Newport Beach Fire and Marine Department has received a
request to transfer Pier Permit 11302131 for the above -mentioned
property. The facility was inspected on September 17,1998.
We cannot transfer the pier permit until the following deficiency
has/have been corrected and we have been notified of the corrections:
A City approved anti -syphon device is required at the water
connection for the water supply to the pier and float. A sketch
showing the approved type of device and its installation is enclosed.
This requirement is in accordance with Title 17 of the California
Administrative Code.
2. The eclectrical outlets on the pier and dock must be GFI.
The Newport Beach City Council Harbor Permit Policies state:
10.D. "At the time of transfer, all harbor structures shall be inspected
For compliance with the City's minimum plumbing, electrical, and
Structural requirements and the conditions of the existing permit.
All deficiencies must be corrected prior to transfer of the permit."
Please advice this department when the above deficiencies has/

In reviewing our files of pier permits we note that on 5/19/89 a
request was made to transfer pier permit 0113-213 for the property
at 213 Edgewater, Newport Beach. The pier permit at this address
was not transferred for the following reasons:
Corrections required as the result of the Marine Department pier
inspections have not been done.
The Newport Beach Harbor Permit Policies require that the pier
permit be transferred upon the sale of the abutting upland
property. Failure to transfer will result in additional fees and
revocation of the pier permit.
City requirements must be met before the permit can be transferred.
Please contact this office to let us know if the above requirements
have been completed. At your request we will re -inspect the
facility. If the requirements have been met we will then transfer
the pier permit.

Sirs:
The City of Newport Beach Marine Department has received a request
to transfer pier permit #0113-213 for the property located at 213
Edgewater, Newport Beach, CA. The facility was inspected on
5/23/89.
We cannot transfer the pier permit until the folowing
deficiency(ies) has/have been corrected and WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED
OF THE CORRECTION:
1. A City approved anti -syphon device is required at the water
connection to the pier and float. A drawing and description of
the device approved by the City is enclosed.
2. The conduit for the electricity running down to the float
needs to be replaced.
3. Some parts of the fascia and decking need to be replaced.
Much of the decking needs to be re -nailed. Walkway will need to
be replaced to make the facility useable. Sorr-- cf `'— '--,,ing :.as

The City Harbor Permit Policies state:
