Army Corps of Engineers. 2. The applicant obtaining permits for any plumbing, electrical and fire protection installations from applicable City Departments. Discussion City Council approval is required under Section 5 paragraph B which states: °Prior approval of the City Council will be required before the Marine Department may issue any permit that does not conform to the standard harbor drawings and the adopted Harbor Permit. Policies". The proposed floats differ from the standard drawings only in configuration, not in structural design. The proposed revisions will replace one standard "U" shape float with a 6' wide x 571 Tong float at 812 W. Bay and will replace an existing rectangular float with anew 8' wide by 61' long float at 814 W. Bay. The applicant for both of these City harbor permits is the same individual. He owns both parcels of contiguous upland property at 812 and 814 West Bay. Each upland lot has a dwelling unit on Page Two the lot and are independent of each other. This is the reason that this subject Harbor Permit is being processed as two harbor permits rather than a single application. If both lots were combined as one parcel with one dwelling, the applicant would be restricted by the Council's Harbor Permit Policies from maintain- ing two pier and float structures. R. E.
