Dock Inspection Permit Number HC2004-024 Dear Mr. Crane: I am in receipt of your letter dated April 16, 2004, proposing an action plan to resolve the issue of multiple berthing occurrmg at the above subject property. As outlined in your action plan, the removal of the two center fingers will allow for the docking of boats in a manner that will no longer impede the removal of vessels at the dock. It is our understanding that the two fingersremoved will be stored offsite. Your action plan is approved and required to be implemented by January 30, 2005. A permit from the City's Building Department is required for the removal of the two center fingers. Prior to obtaining this permit, please contact Chris Miller or Tom Rossmiller in Harbor Resourses at (949) 44-3034 to obtain an application. We believe a fairly simple modification to our docks, with 'Mediterranean' style berthing will accommodate our business and meet the Fire code NFPA 303. We have attached drawings of our current dock configuration and our proposed dock layout. Our landlord has approved the reconfiguration, as long as it meets compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. The modifications would consist of the following: -Remove the two center finger docks. These will be kept in their original condition, shipped and stored at our factory in Adelanto. They would be maintained allowing for re -installation if required in the future. We would modify our boats and dockline system to allow for this style berthing. We would use the outside finger for loading and unloading passengers. We are pleased to present this concept, and hope you agree it's a logical safe alternative to meet the City's requirement.
