I am writing to explain the reason for the lag time between the original submittal date and the current request for review by your departments. As you can see, the application was submitted in late July 2004 and the applicant requested the City to perform the eelgrass inspection. However, the next available negative tide to perform a survey during working hours occurred many months later on October 14, 2004. The surveys were performed, but unfortunately, the results were filed away and not matched to the applications. Hence, the applications remained in a different file until this problem was brought to our attention a few weeks ago. Harbor Resources has taken steps to ensure that this does not happen in the future. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and hope that the following applications will be approved as the applicants are quite concerned.
