Re: Harbor Permit 133-0049-1, for 49 Linda Isle, Newport
Beach Escrow No. 12136JG
Sirs:
The City of Newport Beach Marine Department has received a
request to transfer pier permit 133-0049-1 for the property
located at 33 Linda Isle, Newport Beach, Ca. The facility was
inspected on February 28, 1996.
We cannot transfer the pier permit until the following deficiency
has/have been corrected and WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE
CORRECTION:
1. A City -approved anti -syphon device is required at the water
connection for the water supply to the pier and float. A sketch
showing the approved type of device and its installation is
enclosed. This requirement is in accordance with Title 17 of the
California Administrative Code.
The Newport Beach City Council Harbor Permit Policies state:
10.D. "At the time of transfer, all harbor structures
shall be inspected for compliance with the City's
minimum plumbing, electrical and structural
requirements, and the conditions of the existing
permit. All structural deficiencies must be corrected
prior to transfer of the
permit."
PLEASE ADVISE THIS DEPARTMENT WHEN THE ABOVE DEFICIENCIES HAVE
BEEN
COCTED. P a e call 644-3044 to request a re -inspection.

Re: Vessel encroachment
Dear Sir:
The City of Newport Beach received a complaint regarding the
pier and float bayward from 48 Linda Island, Newport Beach.
Specifically, the complaint is that a vessel is berthed
in violation of Section 21.A. of the .City Harbor Permit
Policies, which states:
21.A. "boats moored at private or public docks shall
not extent beyond the projection of the property lines
of the property to which the dock facility is
connected...".
A field inspection conducted on 8/21/91 revealed that a
vessel is berthed in a position that does extend across the
property line at 49 Linda Island, and is in violation of the
above stated code.
Please arrange to have the vessel relocated to adhere to
Section 21.A as soon as possible. Your cooperation in this
matter will be appreciated.
If you have questions regarding this you may contact me at
644-3044.
Sincerely,
A
