bayward of an existing bulkhead wall.
THIS PERMIT IS NOT VALID UNTIL SIGNED .BY THE DISTRICT ENGINEER.
Your attention is particularly invited to the special condition of
Section 11.
Botch eopios shall be signed and dated by an owner or authorized
responsible official, with his title shown thereon, and returned
to this office.. The permit will then be validated and one eopy will
be returned to you. If they draft copies are not signed and
returned within 30 days from the date of this, latter, your request
for the proposed work will be withdrawn.

Application has been made by Mr. Rulon Hodges, 51 Linda Isle Drive, Newport
Beach, California 92660, for a pemi:t to install anchor pilings, ramp and
float to extend 60 feet bay—ward of an existing bulkhead wall in front of
Lot No. 51, Linda Island Tract,, -.-Newport Bay, Orange County, California.
The purpose of this work is to provide a private boat docking facility
which has been approved by the City of Newport Beach.
Drawing showing location and plan of the existing work is reproduced
on the reverse of this sheet. Interested persons are invited to inspect
the drawing and to submit, so as to reach this office on or before
27 July 1973, any written comments or objections they may have to the
proposed work. The decision whether to issue a permit will be based
on an evaluation of the probable impact of the proposed activity on the
public interest. That decision will reflect the national concern for
both protection and utilization of important resources. The benefit
which reasonably may be expected to accrue from the proposal must be
balanced against its reasonably foreseeable detriments. All factors
which may be relevant to the proposal will be considered; among those
are conservation, economics, aesthetics, general environmental concerns,
historic values, fish and wildlife values, flood damage prevention, land
use classification, navigation, recreation, water supply, water quality,
and, in general, the needs and welfare of the people. No permit will
be granted unless its issuance is found to be in the.public interest.

III. Said terr^s and conditions shall -be perpetual and bind all future

IV. Section 500 of the Regulations of the California Coastal Zone
Conservation Coymission specifies that no structure or area of
land or ;eater shall be used or occupied in the manner authorized
by the pewit or in any other manner until the Executive Director
has issued a Certificate of Compliance Frith the terms and cor_-
ditions of the pe=t. -
V. The grant of this permit is further. made subject to the fo111 olwing:
A. That this permit shall not become effective until the verifi-
cation has been returned to the South Coast Regional. Conser-
vation Co_ -:1_ -mission ipon ivhi,ch copy all permittees have ackr_ow-
ledged that they have. received a copy of the permit and under -
.stood its contents. Said acknowledgement- should be returned
within ten working days follol ing issuance of this permit.
B. That upon completion of the activity authorized by this permit
the perrLittee(s) shall promptly complete -the Notice of
Completion" and file it with the Executive Director of this
Regional Conmi ss1 h. .
C. That said development to be commenced on or before)
