Specifically, -the complaint is that the slip is being used in violation of Section 21.B. of the Newport Beach Harbor Permit Policies, which states: 21.B "Any boat moored at a pier, dock, or float shall not extend bayward a distance of more than the width of its beam beyond the pier, dock or float." The Marine Department made a field inspection of the slip and found the vessel moored there to be in violation of the above quoted policy. To correct this situation, the vessel must be relocated. Specifically, the complaint is that the vessel moored there is in violation of Section 21.B of the Habor Permit Policies, which states: 21.B. "Any boat moored at a pier, dock, or float shall not extend beyond a distance of more than the width of its beam beyond the pier, dock or float." It is my understanding that the 'float can accomodate your, vessel if it is berthed bow in. To preclude the need for, further action by the Marine Department, the vessel must be berthed in this manner. If you have any questions, please call 640-2156.
