The U.K. Beat Concert in the Park
The band played on last Sunday at Bonita Canyon Sports
Park to about 700 loyal music lovers and dancers of all
ages.
The audience filled the park and lined the hillsides for the
final concert in the Concerts in the Parks Series, hosted by
the City Arts Commission for the 13th year.
Revivalist band, The U.K. Beat rocked the park with music
by best-loved British bands of the era including The
Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, The Animals, The Yardbirds, The Hollies and more.

3000 people over the July 7 weekend. These free cultural
opportunities would not be possible without the excellent
assistance of parks staff and Eric Foley in Recreation who assists
with maintenance before and after each event. This year, we were
fortunate to also have the presence of the volunteer Police
Department who assist with parking, directions and any questions that may come up.

and will be displayed for several months at Central Library. Additionally, the
program concludes with a display of books and historical documents on the history
of the United States, including the right to vote.
