The musicians, professors from Stanford University, are jazz musicians whenAtheyAaren’tAteachingAneurobiologyAorAsomeAsuchA thing. Charged Particles welcomed Lynn (featured) to sing with the ensemble, much to the delight of concert- goers. On March 10 Natur Early Music Ensemble will take the “stage”,AfromA3.00 until 4:00pm, at Central Library. Newport Beach Art Exhibition and Sale Marketing materials (Invitations for the public and Registration Forms for artists) are available for the Newport Beach Art Exhibition and Sale, which will take place on April 13 at Oasis Senior Center. Museum Tour On behalf of the Arts Commission, staff will be taking 25 people to the Norton Simon Museum on Thursday, February 21. Ceora Winds Returned for a Children’s Performance As part of the Newport Beach Public Library’sA Children’s/FamilyAperformances,ACeoraAWindsAreturnedA to Newport Beach with their wind-instrument ensemble. Approximately 80 people attended this excellent performance with their children. Newport Beach Art Exhibition and Sale The City Arts Commission and staff are working on logistics for the annual Newport Beach Art Exhibition and Sale on April 13. Up to 150 artists may register up to two works of art for the event. Artists will bring the work (and table top easels) to Oasis Senior Center on Saturday, April 13 from 10-11am. The juror for this event will come through from 11:00am until 1:00pm to review the submissions and select thisAyear’sAawardAwinners:AATheApublicAisAinvitedAtoAattendAtheAeventAfromA1.00pmAuntilA6.00pm,Aand an awardsAreceptionAwillAtakeAplaceAatA4.30pmAinAtheAmultipurposeAroom:AA wardAwinner’sAworkAwillAbeAonA display at Oasis Senior Center from April 13 through July 31. Registration Eligibility Requirements for the Newport Beach Art Exhibition and Sale Saturday, April 13, 2013 Natur Early Music Ensemble The Newport Beach Public Library will present Natur Early Music Ensemble for a Sunday Musicale on March 10 at the Central Library. Southern California-based Natur is a historical music ensemble that specializes in music written prior to the 1800s. It consists of a multi-faceted group of professional singers and instrumentalists who are proficient on several instruments. Featured members on the ensemble include: Tara Bailey (soprano, recorder), Claire Fedoruk (soprano, viola da gamba), Bianca Hall (soprano, recorder, harpsichord), Stacey Helley (mezzo- soprano, French specialist), and Stephan Haas (harpsichord, organ, recorder, gemshorn). This event is funded by generous donations from the Friends of the Library. Admission is free. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
