THE CARNATION AVENUE AND SEAVIEW AVENUE INTERSECTION
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt a Resolution for the installation of STOP signs at the Carnation Avenue and
Seaview Avenue intersection.
DISCUSSION:
Residents near the Carnation Avenue and Seaview Avenue intersection have
requested installation of STOP control. The residents have safety concerns with
vehicles continuing through the intersection to a private, dead -end street.
Carnation Avenue at Seaview Avenue is currently an uncontrolled 'T' intersection.
Posting of all -way STOP control is recommended. The proposed STOP installation will
require signing and striping on the private road.
Environmental Review:
Categorically Exempt under Chapter 3, Article 19, Section 15301, Class.1(c) of Title 14,
California Code of Regulations. Exemption is for minor alteration of existing facilities
