NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at 7:00 p.m., a public meeting will be
conducted in the Newport Beach Central Library (Friend's Room) at 1000 Avocado Avenue, Newport Beach.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach will consider the following ordinance:
Inclusionary Housing Ordinance — An amendment to Title 19 (Subdivisions) of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code incorporating a new chapter titled "Chapter 19.54 ( Inclusionary Housing) ". Chapter 19.54
implements Housing Program 2.2.1 of the City's Housing Element related to inclusionary housing
regulations. A resolution will also be considered which would set the amount of the inclusionary housing in-
lieu fee at $18,500 per market -rate unit.
The proposed action is not defined as a project and does not require environmental review under the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) because it involves general policy and procedure making
activities not associated with a project and does not have the potential for resulting in a direct physical
change in the environment or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment (Section
15378 of the CEQA Guidelines).
All interested parties may appear and present testimony in regard to this application. If you challenge this
project in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public
meeting (described in this notice) or in written correspondence delivered to the City, at, or prior to, the public
meeting. The agenda, staff report, and documents may be reviewed at the Planning Department (Building C,
2 "d Floor), 3300 Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, California, 92663. The documents will also be available
for review at the City of Newport Beach website at http : / /newportbeachca.gov /index.aspx ?page =181 on
Friday, April 16, 2010.
