Unsatisfactory subgrade conditions were revealed upon the parking lot asphalt
removals. Several options were considered, but subgrade cement treatment was
selected as the most cost effective solution. With the successful subgrade cement
treatment the asphalt section was reduced, providing significant savings to the project
without sacrificing quality. The cement treatment change order amounted to
$19,760.00.
