Item 1, regarding Bayview Affordable Senior Housing at Back Bay Drive and Jamboree Road (PA2002 -246), was a discussion item and will be brought back to the Planning Commission for a public hearing on February 20, 2001 Item 2, regarding inclusion of self storage facilities in the range of permitted uses in the Campus Drive area of Statistical Area L4 (Airport Area), General Plan Initiation G12003 -001, (PA2003- 010), was recommended for initiation and is automatically forwarded to the City Council. (6 Ayes, 1 No) Item 3, regarding Landmark Buildings Code Amendment 2002 -007 (PA2002 -218) was recommended for approval and is automatically forwarded to the City Council. They were appointed by the City Council by majority vote for 4•year terms. At the table in front are City staff members who are here to advise the Commission during the meeting. If you have any questions or require copies of any of the staff reports or other documentation please contact the Planning Department staff at (949) 644.3200. General Plan and Zoning Amendments are automatically forwarded to the City Council for final action. If in the future, you wish to challenge in court any of the matters on this agenda for which a public hearing is to be conducted, you may be limited to raising only those issues which you (or someone else) raised orally at the public hearing or in written correspondence received by the City at or before the hearing. SUBJECT: Bayview Affordable Senior Housing The Related Companies SUMMARY: An informational workshop to discuss a proposed 150 unit senior affordable housing development at Back Bay Drive and Jamboree Road. ACTION: Discussion Item (PA2002.246) ITEM NO. 2. SUBJECT: General Plan Initiation GI2003.001, (PA2003-010) SUMMARY: Initiation of a General Plan Amendment to include self - storage facilities in the range of permitted uses in the Campus Drive area of Statistical Area L4 (Airport Area). ACTION: Recommend that the City Council approve General Plan Initiation No. 2003- 001. ALL TESTIMONY GIVEN BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION IS TAPE RECORDED. SUBJECT Landmark Buildings City of Newport Beach SUMMARY: Amendment to Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code to designate certain types of buildings as "Landmark Buildings" and modify restrictions on nonconforming uses in Landmark Buildings.
