HomeMy WebLinkAboutP1 - Proclamation for Pat Buderwitz'WXE$YAS, Pat Buderwitz moved to Balboa Island in 1990 from 'White Prams, New York and soon 6ecame a community reader, and WHIEREAS, Pat started and served as Chairman, of the Balboa brand Beauti/ication Committee from 1992 to 1994. 4hanks to fin dedication and hard work the committee grew, fiawers were popping up everywhere, 6enches were painted is� repainted eZ the group stiff remem6ers the fun meetings in her home where ideas were put to work and WHI EPgAS, Pat was co- chairman of the Christmas Committee, which spearheaded the 6eautiful Christmas decorations on Balboa IslanQ and 'W&MAS, Pat was on the Advisory Committee for the 6uirding of the new Balboa Island foe station, as "Yas the Committee forBuiOng Standard Changes on the islanQ and 'WII+ER;EAS, Pat was chosen as Volunteer of the Year on Bai6oa Isran4 a welT deserved honor, and %,l&REAS, in 2000, Pat was instrumentalin organizing the Baaoa Isrand9duseum and9Cutorkal Society, with the stated purpose of 6uying the oldfim station and making it into a museum for the isranQ and 7N IREAS, Pat has served co'ntinuaQy`y as the President of the Balboa Islnd %ucum and , utoricalSociety, and has esta6risheda museum containing items which maintain the rich butory of the israndin a faci&ty near the ferry, pending her continwdgoarof the succes furpurchase of the old fire statim and .
