ASSIGNMENTS
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council take whatever action it deems appropriate
DISCUSSION:
At the City Council meeting of June 24, 2003, Mayor Bromberg requested that staff
bring back an agenda item reporting on Council Member Nichols' committee
assignments.
Pursuant to City Council Policy A -9 and the enabling resolutions for the Council
Committee, Council /Citizens Ad Hoc Committees, and Citizens Advisory Committees,
on January 14, 2003, Council Member Nichols, as well as the other Council Members
listed, were appointed by Mayor Bromberg to the following committees. The
appointments were confirmed by the full City Council.

Council Policy A -9 states that the appointments are made on an annual basis by the
Mayor, subject to confirmation by the full City Council. Based on that premise, if the
Mayor elects to change his appointments, this action would also require confirmation by
the full Council.
