SUBJECT: Impact of Redistricting on Council Appointments
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council take whatever action it deems appropriate.
DISCUSSION:
At the City Council meeting on June 24, 2003, Council Member Adams requested that
staff provide Council with information regarding the impact of the redistricting on Council
appointments to various committees.
The only committee that requires that its members reside in the district from which they
are appointed is the Aviation Committee. The table below indicates the current district,
as well as the district in which the members will reside once the redistricting goes into
effect on July 10, 2003.
