TITLE: Cultural Arts Activities for February 2015

Sculpture Exhibition in Civic Center Park: Staff participated in Initial meetings and a site evaluation with
the consultants from Arts OC and Green Public Art to implement the second phase of the sculpture
exhibition in Civic Center Park.
Concerts on the Green: Pending City Arts Commission approval, Country & Western performers “The
Kelly Rae Band” are scheduled for Sunday, August 23.
Exhibitions in the Central Library: Pending Art Commission approval, selected works by Charlotte
Lerner and a selection of paintings from the City Art inventory were recommended by the Fine Arts
Committee for display in the Central Library lobby.
Newport Beach Art Exhibition and Sale: The City of Newport Beach is pleased to announce a call for
entries for the 2015 Newport Beach Art Exhibition. The City of Newport Beach Arts Commission has
showcased the talents and contributions of regional artists by hosting a one-day juried art exhibition for
over 50 years. Participants will have the opportunity to be recognized in five different award categories
and introduce and sell their art to the Newport Beach community. Applicants can register for entry by
means of our online registration form. Print applications are also available.
