Under the recommendation of the Fine Arts Ad Hoc Sub Committee, staff requests that the 2016
Newport Art Exhibition be held on June 18, 2016 in the Civic Center Community Room and Civic Green.
DISCUSSION:
This one-day juried exhibition gives art lovers the opportunity to view and purchase paintings,
photography and sculpture created by hundreds of regional artists. The Exhibition will be open to the
public from 1-6 p.m. Guests will be able to view the artwork, meet the artists and purchase some of the
original artwork that will be on display. A portion of the proceeds from the art sale will fund Newport
Beach City Arts Commission programs.
The event will include an awards presentation and reception at 4:30 p.m. City leadership and City Arts
Commission members will present first, second, third and “judge’s choice” awards, ranging in value from
$100 - $300 at the reception.
The entry form and artwork specifications will be made available on the City’s Cultural Arts webpage
at www.newportbeachca.gov/CulturalArts under “Newport Beach Art Exhibition.” Entry forms will also
be available at the Newport Beach Central Library, City Hall, or any of the branch libraries.
