That pathway is a tremendous asset to the beach, makes it mighty easy to get down to the water, and away from the big mobs. One small wish did crop up: that the foods stands wouldn't be quite so far away. • • * • THEY FAVOR THE COMPETITIVE SYSTEM Friday evening's beach debate at the Corona del Ma r Chamber meeting may have been some- what late. but maybe it'll do some good. The folks who got up to express· their views left no doubt that they want competition m food service under the new b each plan. Edward Allen, who wm be the vicar of th~ Episcopal Mission In Corona del Mar, was appointed last Thursday evening as acting admJnlstrator of the St. James Day School. Mrs. Rudolph Ferda had sub· m ltted her resignation as ad· mlnlstrator because of her recent heart attack. The Day School board accepted the resignation with regret Thursday evening I and approved the Interim ap· pointment of Mr. Allen.
