TIIAT DIE-ETEI! A word of caution to the wary: Watch your driving in all sections of Newport Beach. There's a rising tide of dis- enchantment with the race-trade driving along our city stteets and with the hot-rod noises. Correct! ve action has al ready been taken on Balboa l sland, and consider- able improvement is reported th ere. The speed situation is being checked by traffic officers in Corona del Mar. And now th e long-suffering residents of Newport-Bal boa Pen insula have taken their case di rectly to the City Council, and you can be sure that there'll be a boom in tick et writing. There's bound to be a cry of complaint as some local driver gets caught in this speed crackdown - as already has reportedly happen ed. But the law cannot be a respecter of place of residence.
