One who is sup- posed to have analyel a busi· ness or an undertaking and become better qualified to tell how and what will hap- pen than a mere ignoramus. "Exl)erts" worked out the so- cial security system 10 that the government could and did borrow aeven and a halt billion from the funds for other purposes, putting in place of the money U. S. Bonds for which it must bor· row money from you to pay! "ExJ»rts" predicted there was no possible way for Japan to go to war against the United States. Yet there are thousands of young men who will never return from the Pacific because the ex- perts were wrong. "Experts" labored and brought forth a gang of coordinators to har- monize the variOlls branches of government and after a time lt was necessary to hire a new force of coordinators to find out what the first gang was doing and what had become of them! "Experts" wen-hired to plow under the hogs and the crops and buy up the spuds and wheat and com and pay fanners for not raising food and now Henry Wal- lace. under wh()S(' regime this was done, admits that this could have been a mis- take. while other "experts" ordered tons of potatOC's to lx' <.·overro \dth kerosene and burned. rather than ship them to Europe! ''Ex- J)('t·t s'' plnnnro our highways in a skimpy sort of f\lshion and after a few year!' discov- ered they had to be wic\ened at double thE' expense! And throu~h it all the peopl(' pay for this wonderful advice. most of which is offered by government. although you do find rM1 experts tn fann~. industry. etc.. who have reached their result!\ via trial and error and endless experi-menting. But these folks simply say th€'y are students trying to learn and are not exper1 at anything. • + + Buildin~ P~rmit.
