While there is no reason for immediate alarm. residents of Newport Beach must some day face the ne- cessity of spending money on their water system. The city council has decided wise- ly to let the water committee of the chamber of commerce bring it up now. The city water department mu st know before the next peak sea.son what is planned in order to prepare for in- creased load-whether it is to be new wells in a con- stantly lowering water table. or by seel!:lng Metropolitan water.
