Bob Recd, a local bu)inessman, had a brilliant idea. On condi11on that he eve ntoolly rcmo\'c the carcas), Bob received pcrmh~ion from the city to erect a circus style tent over the whale and charge tourists to sec the monster. But what lo do with the whale? By this time it had decomposed to the extent that it came apart when Bob tried to pull it .back into the water with a tractor. Finally, it cost Dob many times tbe amount of mon'ey he made selling tickets to chop up the whale and haul the pieces away,. just where I do not know.
