With one out in the top of the fourth, Newport's Tom Money lut a hand grounder that deflected off Campoli's glove and looked to be a hit. In the fifth inning, John Ange- lo hit a sinking line drive that should have made it through the hole, but Hatch was there again, this time making a shoestring catch for the out. Still, Newport's pitching com- bination of Money and Ryan Lance held Lake Forest to just four hits and combined for six sbikeouts.
