He claimed "there were never an oats livin in Costa esa " o, e won ere w y anyone ever ec1 e o gwe e area that moniker. Further, he said 1t was strange that others would accept that term. With amusement, Muniz was bewildered to observe the outcries .arising against him. After a barrage of complainers across the city cited memories of a goat here and there from east to west from the early days. Muniz laughed. He claril1ed his point. He said such a name was not justibed on the baslS of a stray goat or two. Calling for memories of herds was one way Muniz could offset an embarrassing recall from his neighbor, Ivan Caley, e top tackle on the '48 football team. Caley called to relate that he had a goat he fed for a year outstde the front of his house and was startled that Muniz didn't remember. " And former coach Al Irwin's wife, LolS, had recalls of Mesans who acquired a goat dunng World War 11 for baby milk. Muniz' phone started ringing off the hook ahd le ft the issue as a standing comedy. Recently, Muruz said 1t prompts noth.ulg but amusement everytime the subject comes up Thus, he will probably be prepared for Ule latest laughable finger-shaking that comes' from Keo Kmg.'whose family lived on the eastside for yea.rs.
