Police tape closed off the entire street, leaving some residents to postpone their plans to ptck up food or dry cleanlng. Bill Fowler, who lives three blocks from where the chase ended, managed to walk his dog down to the pharmacy to pick up a prescitpdon. Looking through the window of the shop, be saJd he could see a car with four or five bullet boles and smashed glass.
